New Neighbors Program

The New Neighbors Program in Edmonton is funded by the City to help newcomers manage the stress and difficulty of moving to a new city in Canada. This program matches newcomers with volunteers in the community for support and friendship and provides other services to help newcomers settle in Canada.

Our Services
  • Matching newcomers with volunteers for friendship and support
  • Providing personal, social and recreational supports
  • Linking newcomers with appropriate services
  • Monthly information sessions
  • Field trips to historic and educational sites
  • Helping newcomers find social, government and health services
  • Community participation and involvement
